91 Days

A photoblog of summer in Japan.

Welcome

Welcome to 91 Days.

My name is Joel, although I usually go by "Toad" or "The Mighty Toad" out here on the wild wild web. I've built this website in the hopes of capturing a little bit of what makes life in Japan so interesting, especially through the summer months.

The title "91 Days" comes, very simply, from the fact that there are 91 days in the combined months of July, August and September. My goal is to post a photo a day during the course of those three months. And, although I plan to shoot primarily around the town that I live in, in North Central Japan, I have plans to visit several other areas around the country over the next few months and will post what I can, when I can.

For shooting, I'm using a Pentax *istD with (for the moment) a 90mm Tamron fixed lens and 20mm Sigma for wider shots.

I plan to simul-post my photos on Flickr.com under the tag "91 Days" as well as opening the occasional cafepress.com, as I've done with this photo of Ebisu.

If you have any questions or comments about myself, or this blog, please feel free to contact me at mightytoad@gmail.com. Thank you for your time; I hope you enjoy the photos.
