We have, as of this morning, an internet connection at the house now, but it may only be temporary.
I'm using what time I do have to completely re-do several of the posts. I had debated doing this, but I've been unhappy with the small resolution and inability to specify landscape or portrait orientation with photos that I've posted by phone. So, in addition to correcting the orientation errors, and replacing the small size with full size I've also done some basic digital darkroom work on a few of the photos.
Digital darkroom work, to me, means that anything I could do with a negative in a lab, I can do in the computer and still call it a photo. As long as it's not blatently manipulated (orange skies and the like), it's still a photo. So, I'm taking the liberty of doing some cropping and changing the brightness of the photos but not much else.
I've learned a few lessons over the past couple of weeks, namely that this project may have been a little too ambitious; maybe I should have started with a month or something, but I'll keep on plugging along. A second, and more valuable lesson has been that I need to re-familiarize myself with different lens lengths and their properties. I found that when I suddenly switched from a full SLR with a good set of lenses to a small resolution point and shoot that I was having a lot of trouble getting the shots that I wanted.
Anyway, look for these changes to be happening over the remainder of this week; hopefully today will be the last cell phone camera post for a while and I'll be able to get some better shots in soon.
